Penlan batted first and against some very good bowling, scored a creditable 145-6 in 15 overs. Most of the runs coming from an aggressive knock from Nellie Thomas 76 with one 6 backed up by Keith Norwood 28 and Dean Norwood 13. The wickets going to Andy Jones 2 overs 3 wickets for 16 runs.Wayne Tucker 1 wicket for 36 runs, Ralph Richards 1 wicket for 9 runs and Lee Tucker 1 wicket for 34 runs.
In reply Dunvant lost openers Ralph Richards and Richard Lewis for a total of 5 runs. Mitchell Ford then steadied the innings with a terrific knock of 79no with one 6, backed up by James Richards 22 and Gareth Hewitt 12.The boys giving a fine display of quick running between the wicket. The winning run came in the last over with 3 balls left with Mitch and Wayne Tucker 6 both not out. Dunvant losing 6 wickets in the process
