On a very windy day at the superb Mumbles ground Penygroes batted first and scored 121 for 7. The bulk of the runs coming from G Williams 19, K Ace 17, M Lewis 14, J Edwards 14, M Evans 17 and M Ace 14no. The wickets going to Ralph Richards 3 for 27, Wayne Tucker 2 for 23 and Tim Rees 1 for 17.
In reply Dunvant started well with opener Ceri Phillips 20 and then a collapse losing Dicky Lewis 3, Mike Arnold 1, Mitchell Ford 3, Lee Tucker 4, Tim Rees 7, James Richards 1 for a total of 19 runs. The innings was then steadied by Ralph Richards 36, Gareth Hewitt 14 and Andy Jones 12no. With the scores tied on 121 each and one ball left Ralph was run out and Penygroes won having lost less wickets.
