Tower batted first and found it difficult against the bowling of Lee Tucker and Ralph Richards. They lost their first three batsmen for 22 runs which included the dangerous Phil Bendle. However their middle order rallied and with the help of Mike Durke 25, Gary Bendle 19, Dean Leacher 32no and Ian Lumsdaine 23. They finished up on 152 for 10. The wickets being taken by Lee Tucker 2 for 40, Martin Newbury 2 for 34, Ian Thompson 2 for 26, Tim Rees 1 for 14 and Ralph Richards 1 for 21.
When Dunvant batted they found themselves in a similar position losing 3 wickets for 30 runs. Unfortunatly the middle order collapsed losing Toby Davies, Ralph Richards, Chris Bridle, Lee Tucker and Martin Newbury for a total of only 8 runs. The tail wagged a bit taking us over the ton with Richard Thomas undefeated on 15. Mike Kenealy causing most of the damage taking 4 for 12, Dean Leacher 2 for 13 and Gary Bendle 2 for 25. Dunvant finished up on 102 for 10.
