Dunvant 1st v Grovesend Miners

Dunvant batted first and scored 237 for 7. The bulk of the runs coming from the stalwart Owen Lewis who scored 69 which included 2 sixes and thats with a gammy knee, well done Owen. He was backed up by our overseas player Chris Bridle 28, all rounder Tim Rees 31 and Martin Newbury 25no. Richard Pass causing some problems taking 4 for 38.

In reply Grovesend were all out for 101, they had some key players missing but were helped out by some keen and talented youngsters. The bulk of the runs coming from Daniel Griffiths 18, Paul Howells 18 and Scott Roberts 18. The damage being done by Ralph Richards 2 for 8, Andy Jones 2 for 33, Dai Howell 2 for 11 and Martin Newbury 2 for 0 in one over. One wicket each for Lee and Wayne Tucker.
