Penygroes batted first and were given a good start by their openers, R Davies 17, G Williams 26. After 6 overs they were 46 for no loss. Due to some fine bowling they steadily lost wickets and finished up after 13 overs on 86-9. David Wilson 3o 3w for 14r, Andy Jones 2o 3w for 10r and Ralph Richards 3o 2w 14r doing the damage.

In reply Dunvant started to loose wickets early on and after 6 overs were 4 wickets down for 41 runs but the ship was steadied by a hard hitting knock from Lee Tucker 25, which included 5 fours, and the experienced Ralph Richards 13. Dicky Lewis who opened also got 14 runs. The damage being done by Mark Ace 4o 3w for 35r and G Williams 3o 2w for 20 runs. Dunvant reached their target in the 12th over with a four from Gareth Hewitt
