10 YEARS AGO: LEAGUE & CUP DOUBLE FOR DUNVANT YOUTH

From the South Wales Evening Post 17th July 2010: League & Cup Double For Dunvant Youth

Dunvant Youth won thew Swansea and District league and Cup Competitions for the third time in their history. They now become automatic holders of the President's Challenge Cup. In addition they were the RAF Careers-Ospreys' OB Divisional Champions and regained the Rhodri Jones memorial Cup.
Three members of the team-Captain Ceri Davies, Toby Davies & Sam Crowley-made their Senior Debuts with Crowley ending up top scorer for both.

Update:
The players from that Youth team have been the backbone of Dunvant's success in the last 10 years.In that 2009-10 season of the Youth's success, the 1st XV suffererd their 2nd successive relagation falling into Divsion 3 West.
In 2010-11, as many of these boys came through ,Dunvant finsished 3rd and in 2011-12 were league 3 West Champions. From then on Dunvant rose up to the Championship for 2016-17 and then finished in 2nd place in Division 1 West for 2017-18 and 2018-19. When this season was curtailed due to Coronavirus Dunvant were in 1st place of Division 1 West Central with 6 of that team still playing for Dunvant's 1st XV
