NEW BAR LICENCE APPROVED
Under recommendation from Licencing, we applied to change from a members’ bar to a premises licence. This has now been approved.
This was done to protect the club when we have our large community fundraising events, that support the day to day running of the club and the pitches. The new licence actually reduces our hours and curtails what we can do on site without prior approval.
The Lounge will remain a strict members’ lounge by invitation only for non-members, and the rest of the property will be under a premises licence.
Many thanks to Cath, Pipes, Ted & Bev for the effort put in to make this change and also to the locals who supported us. We would also like to say a special thanks to councillor Louise Gibbard who has unwavering faith in the club and what we do for the community. Let’s hope that over time we have more councillors like yourself who share the vision of the club in supporting the local community.
We would welcome the opportunity to discuss in person the exact terms of our new licence with our friends and neighbours, as only through open and honest dialogue that can we make sure there is no MIS-INFORMATION. Together we can then continue to grow and support the children and young adults in our community to whom Dunvant Rugby club is such an important part of their physical and emotional wellbeing.
