DUNVANT PRESENTATION NIGHT AWARDS 2015

Last night saw a packed house of Players, Committee & Supporters celebrate our young team’s success during the 2014-15 season back in Division 1

The evening opened with Club President Dorian Samuel welcoming all present and announcing the nominations for each of the 1st XV awards up for grabs. Then Club Videographer Colin ‘Elvis’ Presley put on a 40 minute video of all our season’s highlights on our hallowed Broadacre turf.

Development XV Awards:
Young Player of the Year: Bradley Evans presented by Coach Denver Austin
Most Improved Player: Sam Gough presented by team Manger Dai Hughes
Players’ Player of the Year: Jamie Fletcher presented by Coach Roger Slack
Coaches’ Player of the Year: Dai Norman presented in his absence to Shaun Davies

Presentations of Gower photos were then made by Club Chairman Martin Lewis to retiring Dev XV Coaches Mike Smith & Denver Austin. This was followed by a presentation by Club Secretary Paul Loughlin of an ‘Unsung heroes’ Award to 2014-15 De3velopment XV Coaching team of Mike Smith, Denver Austin, Roger Slack and Dai Hughes, a photograph of them all at their last game against Morriston RFC.

Club Secretary Paul Loughlin then announced that Jonathan ‘Trigger’ Arnold and Lee ‘The Wasp’ Tucker are taking over the coaching reins of our Development XV for the 2015=16 season.

Coaches Jay Parry, Craig Hawkins and Gareth Williams then reflected on a successful campaign back in Division 1 achieving a targeted 4th place finish and plans for going forwards before we moved on to the awards.

1st XV Clubman of the Year: Presented by Chairman Martin Lewis

1st XV Coaches Player of the Year: presented by Vice Chairman Richard Lewis

Club Captain Mitchell Ford then made a series of awards to various players, coaches and support workers for their contributions to Club & team during the 2014-15 campaign
With the official presentations over and a superb curry to keep the energy flowing, they then partied the night away before a well deserved break prior to training restarting in early July.
