Brynamman finished in 7th place in Division 1 West Central last season having been promoted as runners up in 2 West Central in 17-18 after a few seasons at that level.
This season they got off to a great start with a 45-28 win over Skewen, a 29-24 away win at Ammanford and then on 28th September lost 28-0 at league leaders Bonymaen. They have not played since, their home game vs Glynneath was called off on 5th October and last weekend their 2nd round plate match was called off by Aberavon Quins being unable to raise a side. As it stands, Brynamman are in 7th place 2 wins, 1 loss, 8 tries scored and 9 points.
Dunvant are currently in 4th place with 2 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss, 14 tries scored and 13 points. Last week we had the long trip to Bethesda in North Wales for the Plate Round 2 with a number of boys unable to travel due to work commitments and lost 26-10 but contested hard for the full 80 minutes. It was good last week to see the return of Mark Robbins after several months out injured and scoring a try on his 1st XV return.
Difficult game to call this one, Brynamman have the home advantage but have not played for 3 weeks. Can Dunvant get the away win?
Regretfully, our 2nds home game with Ammanford in the Conference league has now been postponed by our opponents. Our Youth team are away for a league match at Gowerton having won there last month in the 1st round of the Swansea District Youth Cup.
