
Special guest of honour was former Dunvant scrum half , now Wales International Richie Rees.
In a well attended evening, there were several awards up for grabs.
The first awards were made by Development Team Coaches Mike Smith and Denver Austin, with team manager Dai Hughes.

Development Team Players’ Player of the Year-Craig Petherbridge-presented by Denver Austin
Development Team Player of the Year- Nathan Vaughan-presented by Richie Rees
We then moved on to the 1st XV awards, presented by Anthony Piper & Simon Daniel, assisted by Richie Rees and Martin Lewis, Club Chairman
1st XV Most improved player-Craig Petherbridge-presented by Simon Daniel
1st XV Players’ Player of the Year-Rhys Tucker-presented by Anthony Piper

Clubman of the Year award- Jonathan "Trigger” Arnold
1st XV Supporters’ Player of the year-Rhys Tucker-presented by Martin Lewis, Club Chairman
We then saw Development Team Captain Dean “Mad Dog” Hughes make a Thank You presentation to coaches Mike Smith and Denver Austin.
This was followed by Club Captain Mark “Pup” Loughlin making a Thank You presentation to 1st XV Coaches Anthony Piper and Simon Daniel.
Special Guest Richie Rees , now 4 times capped Wales International, and European Amlin Challenge Cup Winner, presented his first Wales jersey to Dunvant R.F.C., gratefully received by Club Chairman, Martin Lewis.
To say thank you and congratulations to Richie for being the first ever Dunvant player, to play at all ages for Dunvant, to go on and become a full international, Colin “Elvis “ Presley showed us a DVD of Richie playing at scrum half through the years for Dunvant Minis, Juniors, Swansea, Ospreys, London Irish, Cardiff Blues, and Wales. Colin then presented a special trophy to Richie on behalf of Dunvant R.F.C.
However, the awards were still not over. Mark Perdue, former Dunvant Captain and 1st XV coach, paid tribute to Brian “Buzzer” Bevan for 20 years service as 1st XV Baggage Manager, and presented an engraved cut glass decanter to Brian.
This was followed by further tributes by Mark Perdue to Peter Thomas, retiring as 25 years as 1st Team Manager, who also was presented with an engraved cut glass decanter. Further tributes were given by former Dunvant Captains Warren Lloyd and Mark Harris who were among 10 former captains present on the night.
A splendid evening was rounded off with a superb buffet which was well received by all present.
