JUNIOR CHAIRMAN ON 'THE WAVE' TO PUBLICISE THE CARNIVAL AND CHARITY BIKE RIDE

Roger Knight4 Jul 2013 - 19:24

Andy Warren, Junior Section Chairman will be on "The Wave" 96.4 fm Friday 5th at 8.45 a.m. to publicise Dunvant Carnival and his Charity bike ride.

Listen to Andy warren,Dunvant R.F.C.Junior Section Chairman this Friday morning on "The Wave" 96.4 fm radio to publicise Dunvant carnivalthis Saturday 6th July at 1.00p.m. and his forthcoming bike ride from Paris to barcelona in aid of Maggies cancer charity.

Andy says about the Carnival:
Its Carnival Day on Saturday at Dunvant RFC, Broadacre, Killay, Swansea. Lots of things for a great family day out starting at 1pm, only £1 entry. There will be Dancing exhibitions, Rugby Tag Display, Fire engine, Balloon Artist, Face painting, BBQ, Sweets, Cupcakes, Live music from 'Fast Fuse' and the Ukoholix. I'll also be there raising money for Maggies Cancer Charity as part of my fundraising for the Paris to Barcelona Bike Ride in 3 weeks time. I'll be doing a 2hr spin session on my bike using the turbo trainer - please help me to "fill my bucket" with your loose change, notes also accepted!! I'll be live on The Wave tomorrow morning around 8.45am talking to Badger promoting both the Carnival and my fundraising for Maggies. Hope to see you on Saturday!!

Andy says about his bike ride:
I am embarking on a major mid life crisis mission to raise funds for Maggies Cancer Centres. As part of a 70 person group come July 27th I will be cycling from Paris to Barcelona over 7 days averaging between 85 and 100 miles a day. As you guys well know my level of fitness does not lend to this activity and some tough training (for me anyway) is going on in order to prepare for the ride.

I really need your help guys to raise the funds, if I've got to get up at silly hr o'clock, dress myself in bright spandex and pound the local tarmac then thats got to be worth a few quid from your pocket for a charity that will affect everyone throughout their lifetime, either personally or through someone close to them, I lost my Dad to Cancer several years ago and this is an excellent way of raising funds to fight this illness and care for those affected.
