It is with great regret that Dunvant RFC has to announce the passing of former player Les Morgan aged 94. Born in 1932 in the original Foundout, where his mother was the landlady, he used to walk to Crwys school in Three Crosses everyday from the age of 4 along with a few other characters from the village and had great knowledge of Dunvant station when it was a busy railway. Les' grandfather was Tom Williams who represented Wales in 1912 and a member of the infamous "Terrible Eight".
Les played for the club in his early days before leaving for Kenya where he joined the police force and represented the rugby side. After returning to Swansea he married Rosemary who provided legal advice to the club for many years and both were regular supporters of the club. Working for Welsh Brewers the club's brewery supplier for many years, he was able to provide great support for events at the club, before retiring to Reynoldston.
We pass our sincere condolences to sister Jean, wife of the late Emrys Jones, nephews David (Dai Kenya), Peter and Michael, and also to Scout who was a cousin of Les.
