Richie livened up the game and Wales got back to 20-17, hoping to snatch a win, but mistakes cost us dear for a final score of 30-17.
We look forward to getting a photo of Richie for the Clubhouse where he gan join Mefin Davies in our Dunvant Hall of Fame

Richie Rees has been selected by Warren Gatland in the Wales 22 to play England, but loses out on a starting place to experienced Gareth Cooper
Lets hope Richie can get his first Wales cap, particularly in the biggest game of the year, against the auld enemy at "Fortress" Twickenham. The Blues have been picking Richie on form in preference to Coops, but Coops get the nod from Warren due to his International experience.Broadacre will be cheering the roof off if Richie gets on. (We need a new roof anyway!!))

Former Dunvant scrum half and home grown favourite, now playing with Cardiff Blues has been called into Wales 35 man Six Nations Squad .
Congratulations to former Dunvant grown favourite RICHIE REES on being selected by Warren Gatland for Wales’ Six Nations Squad. Richie has worked incredibly hard to establish himself at the Cardiff Blues against Kiwi Jason Spice and latterly keeping Wales Scrum Half Gareth Cooper out of the side. Overall, since joining the Blues from London Irish, Richie has played in 52 games for the Blues.
This season already, Richie has made 10 starts and 7 substitute appearances for the Blues, playing a total of 886 minutes in the 17 matches, and scoring 3 tries, including 40 minutes against Australia. Last Saturday he played a key part in the Blues magnificent Heineken Cup victory over Sale Sharks, battling against Wales favourite and British Lion Dwayne Peel, and scoring a superbly taken try.
Let’s hope now, given Wales’ current scrum half injury crisis, that Richie will be selected against England on February 6th and make all of us at Dunvant Rugby Club extremely proud .
