It is with great regret that Dunvant RFC has to announce the sad news that popular club member, former player and longstanding committee member Selwyn Davies has passed away. Selwyn first moved to the area in the 1970s and played for Dunvant after starting his career with Morriston. A retired policeman, Selwyn was a junior team manager throughout the age groups and then served on the committee for over 20 years before stepping down this year.
A keen supporter of the club, Selwyn was ever present at the club watching his grandsons Danny, Ben, Sam and club captain Ceri play for the club throughout junior teams before progressing to the seniors. This photograph shows Selwyn alongside Ceri, Danny and Ben after winning the Division 1 league title in 2016.
All at Dunvant RFC send our deepest condolences at this sad time to his wife Lesley, daughters Rhian and Sian, grandchildren Ceri, Danny, Amy, Sam, Ben, Emily and great grandchildren Josh, Jack, Olivia and Ava. RIP Selwyn.
