A tough afternoon for the boys as the Athletic’s cup run came to an end in the semi-final against a strong and unbeaten Bargoed side. Despite going into an early10-0 lead, Bargoed then dominated large parts of the game to lead 17-10 at half time. The second half continued in the same manner and despite an excellent length of the field try, Bargoed finished strongly to end up 41-15 winners.
They gave everything out there and should be incredibly proud of the effort, heart and determination they showed right to the final whistle. Congratulations to Bargoed Warriors and good luck in the final.
