Dunvant RFC Presentation Night saw Utility back Adam Williams-Parry awarded for scoring 1000 points and 100 tries for our 1st XV

Adam Williams-Parry, 27, has lived for rugby since he was old enough to play with a rugby ball. Asa young boy,he would come into the club lounge on a Friday night after training, always with a rugby ball in his hand to say hello his grandfather. He has got over a hundred years of Dunvant blood in his veins. His Great Great Grandfather, one of three brothers Tom, Dick & Harry who were all Internationals , his Grandfather John ‘Scout’ Williams, his father Michael Williams and Uncle Kerri Williams have all worn the red and green of Dunvant. Adam is a very talented player who has been offered opportunities to play at higher levels with Llanelli and Swansea amongst others, but prefers to play his rugby for Dunvant R.F.C, a local lad playing with local boys., always looking for a game whether it be the 1sts or 2nds The award made to Adam is for a rare achievement in rugby, in fact a double rarity, 1000 points and 100 tries for Dunvant’s 1st XV. It’s just as well he is teetotal because Dunvant’s last 1000 pointer, Mark Thomas, when he scored his first 500 points in the Heineken league was awarded 500 cans of Heineken by the league sponsors. However, we did have a special trophy to award to Adam which can be treasured for life.
Adam Williams-Parry 189 games, 101 tries and 1098 points to date for Dunvant RFC 1st XV
Congratulations Adam, well deserved from all at Dunvant Rugby Club.
