Singers - Annual Welsh Night

The Singers - Welsh Night is sucessfully planned anually between Dai Vaughan and our friendly Cardiff Musician, Jeffrey Howard.
Jeff will introduce to us Welsh Talent of the Championship Division. This year was no exception when he brought with him young N.Wales baritone Melir Jones.
Melir is on the books of the Harleqin Agency Cardiff (Doreen O'Neill), under their Young Welsh Artistes promotions and part of his biography follows:- "Welsh baritone Meilir Jones is one of the first recipients of a Study Award from the Bryn Terfel Foundation. At just 22 years of age, with his beautiful, rich and effortless baritone voice, he has already won major prizes in Wales, namely the Blue Riband Osborne Roberts Memorial Prize at the National Eisteddfod of Wales and the international medal for the under 21 vocal solo at the Llangollen International Eisteddfod. He has already performed in concert with Bryn Terfel and is a popular soloist for both oratorio and concerts with male voice choirs. He is currently in his final year, studying voice at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama."
Both the singing and the accompaniment was of the highest musical level as was the enjoyment and fun generated.
Both individuals should be complimented on yet another annual "Great Night Out".
