1 pm on Friday 3rd June was the date and Bethesda Chapel, Llangennech was the venue for the marriage of Dylan and Debbie.
In a lovely bilingual service sympathetically conducted by Rev. Llewelyn Picton Jones, the bride, bridesmaids and all the ladies present contributed in painting a very colourfull picture on this sunny June day.
The congregational hymns were the lovely Welsh wedding Hymn "Dduw Dad, bendithia'r mab a ferch ...." and "Love Divine" to the popular tune Blaenwern.
The Dunvant Rugby Club Singers (Cantorion Clwb Rygbi y Dyfnant) contributed "The Rose" during the service and "Calon Lan", "Wise men say ..." and "Ar hyd y Nos" during the signing of the register to spontaneous applause. The singers were led by Hywel Evans, and by popular demand after his success last week at All Saint's Bill Davies repeated his unique rendition of "Wise man say ...". The happy couple then sped away in a convertable Model T Ford to the reception at The Towers Hotel, Jersey Marine.
