Dunvant as standard lost the toss and Kidwelly elected to bat. With some good batting and a very fast out field the home side gave Dunvant a target to chase of 151. Dunvant wicket takers were evenly spread.
Dunvant had an early blow with Rhodri Griffiths given out LBW in the first over. Gareth John came in 3 and struck up a good partnership with Michael Arnold, but then was caught on the boundary for 20. Tim Rees and Rob John went the same way with too good catches from Kidwelly. Dunvant looked to Steve Dixon to steady the ship. Although lasting a little longer he was also out, bowled for 11. Jonathan Arnold joined his brother at the crease and stayed with him to the finish. Michael just missing out on a 100 with a cracking innings of 94 not out at the close. Dunvant got the needed runs in the 28th over.
