Again another game of chaneg, our solid defence returned with Jack Thomas, who ahd missed our last game, at times we were too ambitiuos and pressed too much, but overall our hunger and desire returned. burry Port bought with them a large pack and some swift backs, but a first half of being dominated saw us turn around 5 points down, when only 5 minutes earlier it looked that we would go in even , but for Josh Morgan who had intercepted on our 22 to be caught 10 metres out when he tried to cut back against the defence, who everyone agreed would only of held him up for his momentum to take him over had he kept going.
Never mind, in the second half we started to get some phase ball, but went wide too early, our lineout started to creak as our hooker went off and our substitute who has been playing prop for the Ospreys took over.
We pressed well and raised the pace and it was starting to tell, only for their hooker who must have the fastest strike around to foil us and put put us on the back foot. However everytime we got into strong positions, a dropped pass, forward pass or missed kick to touch would let us down.
So it proved a turnaround with 6 minutes to go from a loose kick saw us deep into our 22, a resulting scrum from a lineout we had stolen which we had too minor saw a block on our back row to see Burry Port grab a second try, which they converted.
We did not give up and a break by Ciaran Williams saw us go deep into the opposition half, however from 5 metres out a 5 man overlap was ignored and the forwards were held up over the line.
In all a better performance, with quite a few backs missing and a few players still awol from the summer break
