Youth Team Lose away to Vardre

We travelled away to top of the league Vardre and started the game very strongly getting on the scoresheet first with a try from number 8 Danial Rogers which went un-converted 0 - 5. Shortly after the score we lost outside half Brandon Wood to a knee injury.

The game continued with Vardre scoring an un-converted try 7 - 5. Dunvant pressed hard in the last five minutes of the first half and were unlucky not to come away with a try just before the half time whistle. Time beating us on this occasion as I believe we would have scored had play continued.

The second half returned two scores for the home team with two converted tries 21 - 5. Throughout the game we were competitive and our fitness was good in comparison to the home team.

We need to be more clinical and competitive at the breakdown and ensure that we secure good clean possession. We also need to distribute the ball a bit more as on occasions individuals get isolated.

Despite the score it was a good display against a more experienced older youth team. Keep it up all!!!!
