Discipline, Decison Making and Deja Vu What, ifs and maybes We control the result, time to control ourselves

The youth team went to a very wet Upper Killay with justifiable belief they could reverse the cup result 2 weeks prior, and indeed for 75% of the time they were dominant, however poor discipine through soft offsides the inability to keep their mouths shut, especially when faced with what can only be said to be poor decision by the neutral participant, which went quite equally both ways, but one of which in particular should have meant Dunvants dominance in the first 15 mins should have resulted in a try, however despite being held up over the line twice all Dunvant had to show for it was a penalty, from the resulting kick off failure by Dunvant to secure the restart ultimately led to a penalty and a drving lineout which Uplands failed to convert. That was the end of the scoring, yet Dunvant for the first 25 minutes of the second half pressed but through what can only be described as rugby suicide continually made wrong decisions which ultimately led to penalties which led to further questioniing of refereeing decisions which as we all know leads to a futher 10 yds, indeed when they failed to score in the corner, within 2 minutes they were back in their own 22 and Uplands hadnt't even raised any type of attack. With some players not available or simply not turning up, Dunvant couldn't respond to a couple of injuries which in the last 10 minutes led to players being rejigged, and they lost their momentum, finding its hard to escape from a mudbath but escaping from what looked a certain try from a driving lineout when a Dunvant player collapsed a rolling maul coming in the side just 2m from the line, as stated earlier on both sides. With the other results in the group showing that this group is wide open, a reverse at Dunvant before Christmas, could really open up our challenge, some players however need to grow up and realise the game is not only about them, when that happens perhaps we will show that we are not just full of promise
