Sooner or later things will go our way

In a season that seems to be mirroring the Welsh team, a series of unlucky bounces, poor decision making and poor basic skills led to our downfall. In a game that Dunvant had done well to keep Penclawdd to a 3 point deficit at half against a strong breeze, you would of thought a firm breeze in the second half would have given us the impetous that was needed to start to turn possession inyto points.
It was not to be Dunvant had 18 fit players in the match day squad, a couple of whom who had been ill days before and some who had been carrying injuries, coupled with the fact that there were 8 players watching who were carrying injuries or still suffering with heavy colds.
With the dominant Matthew Dodds getting injured on the stroke of half time, a lineout option was removed that would prove a problem in the secind half where our options became limited, and excellent field position continuing to be coughed up.
The second half couldnt have started any worse, a kick off that failed to go deep and didn't even reach the 10m line resulted in a scrum from which a deep box ball resulted in a catch not being taken and a bouncing ball to land in a wingers hands, and with 2 Dunvant players tackling each other when they seemed to be closing him down, the winger scored under the posts, from then on chance after chance resulted in turnovers, poor decisions with overlaps being ignored by taking the wrong decision, and when space was created with overlaps crying for a simple pass, passes were either poor or late, hands clumsy or non existent, and at time kicking options ignored where there was space behind a falt defence. A score in the last minute from a defensive lapse gave the final score an unfair reflection of the match.
Hopefully this will be a watershed moment, and the players start to listen to the advice given, maturity and leadership takes a while to develop, and when you play a team with a lot of 3rd year players, they are on the top of their curve, we will get there, lets hope we don't start to sound like the Welsh management talking about learning, injuries and luck and make that decisive movement forward. A 3 nil win on Saturday will do us
